Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

This is my second time going to Freebirds, and my first time at this location. The food here is excellent- great flavor and an excellent amount of spice in the salsa. The queso is delicious, and even though it may cost a little extra, it's certainly worth it to put some in your burrito. The reason I enjoy this restaurant more than Chipotle or Qdoba is because of the specialty tortillas. It may be a little pricier than the two (by maybe fourth cents?), but the quality you will receive is certainly worth it.

Great burritos, great service, great music. Definitely recommending it to people. I particularly enjoy their company's principles. Go Tribe!

Really friendly place. Good quality food. Comparable to Chipotle or Qdoba, but without the snobby aire to the place. Had the steak. Good flavor. Worth stopping by

Our first time at Freebirds and we really enjoyed it. All the food was fresh and tasted great. Will definitely come back soon.

This location is decently convenient for me if I am craving a burrito or even a salad. You can pick whatever tortilla you would like (cayenne, spinach, wheat, etc.) and then pick a meat (chicken, grass fed steak, beef, and other stuff) and then stuff whatever you want into the burrito. The Freebird size is plenty enough for most people. Even if I have a big appetite (and I am over 6 feet tall and weight over 200 pounds) the Freebird happily satisfies my hunger. I think that the organization may be a bit confusing for newbies. There have been many times that I've see confused customers trying to figure out how ordering works. The menu layout does not quite have a flow to it. Furthermore, I think that when things get busy, an assembly line style may help move more customers and orders through (and therefore, more $$$). The personalized attention that the employees give for each order is good but when the line gets backed up I would prefer quicker service. I don't think that the quality of the burrito will suffer. Get yourself a Freebird rewards card. I do not come here often but when I do I give them my number to record to my order and I recently used my points to get a free burrito. It keeps you coming back every now and then. This location is nice and clean and located near shopping areas to help satisfy your hunger before and after running errands.

I don't see why anyone would pick this over Qdoba. Or even Chipotle. They are trying to portray a hippie type vibe, with aluminum foil decorations, which can be cute and all, as long as your employees still act professional. This is the only location I've been to, but the service was terrible. The employees were all joking around and pushing each other while there was a huge line. Although there were clearly an over abundance of employees, they still managed to be out of a lot of things. Their burritos are huge, when you order everything in them. But I ordered a medium sized burrito and by the time I actually told them what I wanted in it, it ended up being the size of a small. I also ordered chicken tacos to go, but by the time I got home with them, the smell had made me sick to my stomach and I couldn't get it out of my car. This place isn't even worth trying if you like either of the other burrito options around.

My 9 month pregnant wife wanted a kids burrito and the (30k a year flunky big boss) wouldn't let her. So F U. We will be going to Chipotle where we are treated better. Update: corporate in Texas called and informed me that there is no age limit on kids meals and my wife should have been able to order it. It was nice to talk to someone that knew a little about customer service. I appreciate the follow up.

I like this place much better than chipotle. I like the fact that you can order different size burritos and they even have spring mix to put inside of the burritos! They even have the choice of white or dark meat chicken which is nice. I also love the fact that you can pick your tortilla. I chose the spinach tortilla with white meat chicken and it was amazing! I love the flavors and the employees were very nice. We will go here again for sure!

Rice and beans, rice and beans, what you're paying for is rice and beans.[1] The meat (when it can be found) is decent. Most likely, you'll leave feeling full yet oddly unsatisfied. It's like a Subway for people wanting Mexican food that has an American sensibility to it. If that confused you, then you know how I felt after I ate the food. It's not awful. It's not amazing. It's awfully lacking in amazingness. The sauces are all just... there. Just sitting there and not adding anything other than a confusing element to your taste buds. And some of the choices; Ranch? BBQ sauce? It doesn't get more Tex-Mex than that... [1]Note: This is mostly unrelated, but when I typed that, I was singing like the guy in this commercial: youtube.com/watch?v=wYX_…

Horrible microwave patty tasting chicken and dirty bathrooms.... Won't be back. Chipotle for me from now on.

We go to Freebirds in Texas often and have great service and food. I went to the Edmond location this evening and the food was decent but the staff was slow. When I asked about the sauces, she just said "they're sauces." The unsweet tea container was empty , maybe because they were closing in an hour? The floor in front of the drink station was so sticky that my shoes made noise when I tried to peel them from the floor. The reason they got three stars is that I enjoyed my burrito and the chips were nice and fresh.

Like I said in my tip, this place is like a rock and roll themed Chipotle, but not quite as good in my opinion. I've eaten here before in other states so I knew what to expect, but the Mrs was wanting to try it. What really torqued me though was the dude at the register who had an attitude like he really didn't have to work there but showed up anyway to grace people with his presence. When I ask for a different cup with a lid because the water cups don't have lids and I am giving a drink to a toddler and you roll your eyes at me and drop the cup on the counter, I take issue with that. If I could guarantee that you and not your coworkers have to clean the table and the floor after I let my wee one have a blast with the food and lidless drink...oh it would be on, sir. Anyway, foods pretty good. Guy at register that day, not so much.

Really awesome burritos, but they are so huge! The very smallest one was way more than I could handle. If you are super hungry, come here!

Interesting place. My likes - it was really busy and you could tell very popular with lunch crowd in NW OKC. Food was pretty good. I shared a smaller size burrito and some nachos with someone and it was more than enough food for 2 at lunch. My dislikes - the person who put my burrito together was no expression Sally Milktoast and had no interest ni being there. Then the guy at the register was bordering on rude. So that part sucked. BUT maybe just a bad day and I would not let that keep you away. Personally I would prefer Quodoba over this place. Most probably wouldn't though. By the way, they have a HUGE moster Burrito that costs like $15 if you want to try that one out for size. Maybe size does matter??
